Job Description

We are looking for a Product Marketing Manager to help build out our vision that innovation on data is possible without compromising on privacy and position Sarus as a leader in privacy technologies for data science and analytics.

Reporting to the Product Director, you will play a key role in shaping and executing the product marketing strategy for Sarus’s product-led growth motion. You will foster and carry deep knowledge on our customers and the privacy technology market; create positioning & messaging for product launches; create content for digital media, websites, presentations & sales tools; create and deliver presentations at industry events and partner & customer briefings.

You'll of course get support from us, but we are looking for someone to own Product Marketing in our fast-paced team at this key and exciting time where so many things are to be built.

You will be responsible for:

  • Deeply knowing our customers and feeding the product ideation, deployment and product-led growth with those insights
  • Building and sharing an in-depth understanding of the data privacy and anonymization market and competition, and surfacing differentiation opportunities
  • Developing Sarus product positioning and messaging to efficiently nail our customers’ pain points and make Sarus’s benefits obvious to them
  • Identifying top product-market fit hypotheses to test, profiling design partners, defining the associated validation plan and rolling out the tests in collaboration with the TAM and PM
  • Owning the go-to-market strategy, including ICP, use cases/narratives, business model (open source, Saas, partnerships..), different deployment opportunities (public cloud app..)...
  • Identifying partnerships' opportunities and associated action plans
  • Continuously designing and executing website enhancement projects to support Sarus’s product-led growth motion
  • Communicating externally, producing vulgarization contents, white papers, demo videos etc.
  • Contributing to the product growth
  • Participating in the product team's scaling: process definition & deployment, tools selection & implementation, recruitment...

You are curious, like trying new approaches, you challenge status quo and look at things from the other angle, you back your thesis with data whenever possible, explain your intuition when not, you can turn a deep technical matter into a simple pitch.
You want to be part of the journey of an early-stage company, have an agile mindset and like the fast clip of startups.

Past experience & skill set

  • You have a 4+ year experience in product marketing or marketing in a B2B tech company or related field
  • You have a good business sense and strong appetite for problem-solving
  • You are comfortable with data and technology and able to make complex problems simple and approachable
  • You strategize as well as prioritise, focus and execute
  • You have a methodological, analytical and rigorous thinking as well as emotional and intuitive intelligence
  • You are self-starter (you'll have a lot of responsibility and ownership from day one)
  • You have excellent storytelling and communication skills in both French and English
  • You are a natural and enthusiastic leader and thrive in cross-discipline environments

  • 1 or 2 final interviews with the founders (no prep work)
  • Potential culture-fit meetings with rest of the team or external advisor
